Health and Beauty
It is so important to look after your feet not only to look nice but for health reasons. Every year i give my feet a M.O.T as i am on my feet a lot walking and standing in my line of work as a Beauty Therapist i do have pedicures but i must admit i do it myself even though you can't beat someone else doing them but what i want is hard skin removal not just filed and sanded, if your feet are ok this is fine and your benefit more from the relaxing element of a pedicure or even the social part.
I have been going to my chiropodist Richard Jackson for over 12 years when he use to rent out a room in a Health club when i was a Beauty manager it was a valued service and i often referred my clients to him or a chiropodist near them as Richard is London based because sometime a pedicure isn't going to fix corns etc and you want the best for your client.
I had my feet looked at last week i just had the excess hard skin taken off and my feet feel light as a feather but not too much was taken as you do need some for protection.
I also found a wonderful product on my travels last week it is called Magnesium flakes by a brand called Transdermal Zechstein inside mineral soak which is muscle relaxation and remineralisation which is excellent if you suffer from bad circulation, muscle cramps and really popular with athlete's also beneficial for psoriasis a client told me it was good for her Mother who has diabetes 1 as they lack magnesium.
How you use it is up to you i use it as a foot soak half mug of the flakes into a bowl of warm water and soak for 20 minutes if you have the time, also can be used in the bath would be even better for your whole body it makes me feel so relaxed so wouldn't advise it if planning to go out but the next day felt fab also feet where really soft so not only was i soaking my feet for relaxing it was a health benefit too.
